It looks like we’d be seeing more games in the iPad when it finally ships to those who pre-ordered and promised with an April 3 shipping. According to a Flurry Analytics report, it looks like developers who were given a chance to test the iPad system are mostly game developers.

The report shows that 44% of the applications being tested on the iPad were games. Entertainment-related apps are in second place with 14%, social networking apps got 7% and then followed by sports, travel, lifestyle and utilities. Book-related apps got around 3% of the total apps being tested.
Although the data is not comprehensive enough since not all of these apps will be hitting the Apps Store, it’s still interesting to know what could possibly be the future of iPad – as a portable gaming device.
Will the iPad kill the Sony PSP? Will the iPad kill Amazon’s Kindle business?
