Well, I would have to say that the past week has been officially an iPad news week. I’ve been trying to cope up with one iPad news after another hoping to post as much as I could to gathered up all iPad-related buzz that came out this week but to no avail. If you’ve missed this weeks iPad-related news, we’ve gathered them up here to bring you this week’s iPad News Round-Up. Are you ready for the iPad?iPad Apps Store Launch Apps

MacRumors has managed to access the iPad’s best seller lists revealing some of the iPad App Store launch titles. Speaking of iPad Apps, it seems that most of the launch titles were actually games, costing as much as $9.99 or more. How does that sound to you? Will be purchasing more game apps to play on your iPad?
If you don’t like games, how about e-books? Well the good news is, the prices of e-books that will be sold in the iPad iBookstore are competitive enough against the Kindle prices. Most are beyond the $9.99 price mark. If you’re still not into buying e-books, you’d be glad to know that you’ll have your hands full reading the 30,000 titles in the Guttenberg Project for free. That’s because the Guttenberg Project collection will be heading their way into the iPad.
What? You don’t like the iPad? Even Amazon seems to like it now, especially since they are planning to release the Kindle for Tablets which will support the iPad as well. If you still don’t like it, well it seems that you’re best bet would be the WePad, an iPad-like device that even has more power, minus the Apple logo.
Incidentally, in case you missed it, Apple now owns the iPad trademark after its owner Fujitsu ceded the patent to Apple.
So, after two weeks, how many orders did Apple get for the iPad? Brainstorm Tech said it’s around 240,000 units already. And just when we were about to call it a week, here comes App Advice reporting that apparently prices of some e-books in the iBookstore started to shoot up?
That’s about it for a iPad News Round-Up this week. Next week is certainly going to be a pretty exciting week as Apple will start shipping the iPad to those who pre-ordered it. Are you one of us?
