As soon as I read this post by TidBITS saying that the iPad Camera Connection Kit has some other uses than transferring photos from camera sd card I become more excited about it and hopes that Apple ship my order as soon as possible.
According to the TidBITS the camera connection kit also supports audio via the USB adapter. All you have to do is to plug in a set of USB headphones or a headset on a Mac and the iPad will transfer audio output or input and output. Skype was also tested and proven to work well. Could be a good replacement if you don’t want to use a Bluetooth headset.
Of course, for its primary use, the iPad camera connection kit was also proven to work pretty well as evidenced by the attached video demo.
