Alright, this sort of confirms previous reports that the iPad 3G supports international SIM. An iPad owner in the Philippines who just received his iPad 3G cut off a local SMART Telecoms SIM card and slide it into the iPad 3G micro-SIM card slot. And guess what? The iPad runs quite well (and fast as he observes) on SMART 3G network.
So, for all of you non-US peeps who went out of your way to get an iPad and probably waiting for the arrival of your unit, better get ready with your local SIM card. Have no fear, the iPad 3G will surely run on your local mobile data provider.
Now, I can’t wait till I get hold of my iPad 3G.
