Perhaps in the absence of other RSS reader for iPad, Pulse News Reader can be considered as the best reader for iPad. After just two days, Pulse News Reader is now the no.1 most downloaded paid apps from the iPad app store.
With its great features, I’m not really surprised that Pulse Reader is now the number 1 app on the App Store. If the Wired Magazine app rocks the iPad last week, Pulse Reader is rocking it even more with a great, colorful, fast and sleek-looking RSS reader app for iPad.
The concept is pretty simple. You select news sources (up to 20) and then the app displays these in grid-like format, including photos in high-res quality.
You can use swipe gestures to navigation from one news item to another. The app also lets you view text-only versions of articles if you don’t want the graphics-intensive colorful format.
Pulse Reader also has social features, like sharing the news items on Twitter or Facebook or via email.
Pulse News Reader is available from the App Store for $3.99. The 20 sources limit is a bit a downside, so hopefully the developers who are from Stanford university will remove this limitation.
