Scrabble for iPad is a pretty good game but it doesn’t have the social gaming aspects of another word game for iPad – Words with Friends HD. If you’ve played this game on your iPhone before, it’s basically the game optimized for the iPad. And because of the iPad’s bigger screen real estate – Words with Friends HD becomes a better version of the game.
First thing that you need to do once you’ve fired up the game for the first time after installing it is to create an account (username, password and email credentials are needed). After setting this up you can add the username of other Words with Friends users that you know of and you can start playing against your friends. Of course, your friends should accept your challenge and should have the app installed on their iPad as well. You can also play against the AI via the pass and play mode.
While the Pass and Play mode is a good game on its own, it is not however the main point of the game. Words with Friends HD is a social game and as such it should be played among other iPad users. You could call it as MMORPG type of game but only this time its a word game.
Words with HD for iPad is available in a free lite version or as a paid app for $2.99.
