iPad Release in Other Countries Might Be Delayed

While the nine other countries which got the iPad last Friday may have already sold out their iPad shipments, it seems that other countries may have to endure another delay of shipment due to shortage of supply. Well, blame it either on the strong demand for the iPad or LG’s inability to keep up with these demand and hence unable to supply the 9.7-inch IPS display used by the iPad.

None other than LG CEO Kwon Young-Soo who made a suggestion to Apple -”Apple may have to delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand,” Young-Soo said.  The LG CEO also said that even if they expedite production of the said panel, still their supplies could only provide until the early 2011.

In related news, both Singapore and Hong Kong which were the only two Asian countries who got their iPad supply last Friday have already sold out their stocks of the iPad. Any news in other countries?
