Kindle App for iPad Now Lets You Look-Up Words on Google, Wikipedia

It was only a couple of weeks ago when Apple updated its iBooks app adding a dictionary look-up feature. Now look who is doing almost the same thing with their iPad app – Amazon.  Kindle App for iPad version 2.2 now lets you look up for selected words on Google or Wikipedia. Previously, when highlighting a word, the app displays a definition from the app’s built-in dictionary. Unfortunately, doing so will still kick you out of the app and open up the iPad’s Safari browser. If you can bear with this minor flaw, well and good.

Other new features of Kindle app for iPad ver. 2.2 include – a nice search capability inside the book on your iPad as well as an improved line spacing.

You know the drill, right? Hit that update button on your iPad app store now.
