iPad Game Review, Park Rush HD

Park Rush HD is a time management game that uses the ipad’s controls and big screen (landscape mode only) nicely. In a nutshell, the game is about parking cars as a valet to earn money to get to your goal under the time limit given. This is similar to Parking Dash from BigFish Games, for the PC/Mac.

You get to choose between Johnny and Lilian as your valet parker.  Pick the customer to summon the car and park them by pointing to a parking space.  Most cars take up one parking space, while other cars would take up two.  When the customer is ready to go home, clicking him/her would show the corresponding valet ticket and car.  After which you choose the car and drive it to the exit space for delivery and to get paid.  Quickness earns you tips.  Your goal gets higher as you progress in the game.  As there are more customers in higher levels, you get to use a car elevator in some levels.  Pause the game by clicking the far left of the ipad, upon which you have the options to resume game, save, or quit.  The customers are categorized as happy, upset (red faced) and angry (red faced and smoking).  Upon reaching every goal, your score is shown, customers served by mood, cars parked, tips and money earned, bonus points and a grand total for the level.

The game gets tedious as you progress since it offers the same gameplay per level, only with a higher goal in mind and more cars to parks.  Your valet parker is also surprisingly slow, having to run around the whole parking lot, even just to get between cars that are beside each other.  The mood of the customers also changes from happy to upset to angry very quickly, making tips hard to earn.

For a $1.99 game, it could be better.  Upgrades should be offered at the player’s disposal.  It would have been nice to have a time of parking for every customer to manage them better.  And the valet’s could move faster.

Download Park Rush HD from the App Store.
